David Simpson: Founder and Chief Executive Officer

David is the Founder and CEO of Melbourne HR. A former Naval Officer, David graduated from the Australian Defence Force Academy with a Double degree Business/Arts Majoring in Economics and Politics and minoring in Management and History. After 9 years of service with the Navy, David joined a HR tech start-up specialising in recruitment. After spending 2 years there David decided to start Melbourne HR to service the Small and Medium Enterprise space.

David specialises in Performance Management (Delivery as well as System Development), Leadership (Development and Mentorship) and Workforce Structures (Designing, Restructuring and Change Management). Having built his own professional services company from the ground up and, having worked in the start-up space, David has a strong ability to provide commercially cognisant advisory to Business Owners and Entrepreneurs.

SEAN JOHNSON: Chief Operating Officer

Commencing with Melbourne HR in late 2017, Sean has continued to develop and maintain the People & Culture at his respective clients. Backed by a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Sean was drawn to Melbourne HR by the opportunity to work with a wide range of SME’s across multiple industries.

With a passion for building strong and lasting cultures, talent acquisition, training & development, employee relations, strategy & leadership; Sean advises and delivers HR solutions to all of his clients, both temporary & ongoing.

Outside of work Sean enjoys following the NBA, visiting Bunnings, surfing (averagely), reading all things finance/property/investing & spoiling his nieces & nephew!

EMMA WEEKS

Emma is a Senior HR Advisor at Melbourne HR. Emma graduated from the Master of Human Resource Management program at RMIT in 2020. She additionally acquired a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Science.

Emma was drawn to a career in HR by the opportunity to influence strategic business decisions and assist in developing employees. Her areas of interest include training and development, change management, diversity management and employee relations.  

In her downtime, Emma enjoys going on hikes with her kelpie, cooking, pottery, and road trips.

NATHAN MORIHOVITIS

Nathan is Senior HR Advisor and joined Melbourne HR in 2021 after completing his Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) and Major in Marketing. Nathan was drawn to the position by the friendly culture and the opportunity to grow as a person and in the workforce.

With a big focus on People & Culture, Nathan has a passion for helping others and seeing people succeed through his Leadership and Resilience. Not only this, Nathan gained interest for HR at an early age through ongoing Mentoring/Training, Performance Management and learning from other different processes along the way.

Nathan spends most of his time being active outside work hours, with a knack for AFL & Basketball. Nathan also enjoys listening to music and playing strategic board games.

Tanika Kline

Tanika is a HR Advisor at Melbourne HR. She has completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Management.  

The dynamic nature of HR is what drew her to the position as well as the opportunity to work with SMEs.  Tanika enjoys finding resolutions to challenges which has led to an interest in the areas of recruitment and employee retention. 

Outside of work, Tanika enjoys hiking, discovering new beaches, and finding new ways to keep active.

Alexandra Arceri

Alexandra is a Senior HR consultant for Melbourne HR and has completed her Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Human Resource Management at Deakin University.

Alexandra was drawn to HR because of her passion for training and development, employee relations and performance management. She enjoys working at Melbourne HR as she loves the opportunity it enables her to interact with a wide range of people working in SMEs.  

Alexandra spends most of her time with her family and friends. Her passions include health and fitness, watching AFL and hanging with her dog Scarlett.

AMY STEWArt

Amy is an HR Consultant for Melbourne HR.  She is a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Science at Deakin University.

Amy's interest in Human Resources stem's from understanding the influence that mental health has on employee satisfaction and retention. Amy is passionate about using her broad range of skills and knowledge to increase employee relations and regulate dispute management.

Outside of her work in HR, Amy's hobbies include exercise and fitness, reading and travel.

Ensieh came to Melbourne HR as a graduate lawyer, having completed a Juris Doctor at Monash University.  Before joining Melbourne HR, Ensieh enjoyed a diverse range of experiences in Melbourne and Queensland, as a Secondary teacher and a volunteer lawyer at Salvos Legal. 

A former Melbourne HR Consultant, Ensieh gained broad-ranging experience during her time at Melbourne HR and has a particular interest in adding value through effective recruitment practices.

Toby pronstroller

Toby is the Digital Marketing Coordinator for Melbourne HR. Toby has completed his Bachelor of Business (Marketing) at RMIT in 2022, along with an Advanced Diploma in Marketing and Communications. 

As a result of being exposed to different creative outlets at an early age, Toby is drawn to the challenge of applying his creative skills in conjunction with his strategic market research skills. At Melbourne HR, he enjoys interacting with the various SMEs across Melbourne.

Outside of work, Toby enjoys making his own personal content for social media and creating music.
